Thirty-five seconds of an Essence summer.

Bubble football, the inflatable water park, chalk on the playground and a field full of children who have forgotten their tablets exist.

This is our own film, shot at camp this summer, so what you are watching is exactly what your child turns up to.

What parents say

In their own words, shared with their permission.

My child absolutely loved his time at camp. As soon as he got into the car he asked to go back. Cam really encouraged my son to make friends and develop his football skills further. I would recommend this camp to all other parents for the variety of sports and arts & crafts. I had one very happy boy. Thank you Cam & Team.

Alice M.Parent, holiday camp

My son looks forward to the after-school club every Tuesday. He really enjoys taking part in the various ball games, and on hot days, they also organise fun activities such as water balloon games. He has a great time every week. Thank you!

Yuki S.Parent, after-school club

My son attended the summer camp at Frith Manor school, he absolutely loved it. Cam and his team were friendly and inviting from the outset. The atmosphere was fun, lots of games and high energy. We will definitely be going back to the camp.

Who we are

Essence Sports was founded by Coach Cam, who has 7 years in childcare and is our Designated Safeguarding Lead. The coaches with him bring years of experience: Coach Asher has more than 10 years coaching, and Coach Melanie has more than 20 years in education, including work in a specialist SEN school.

Plenty of sport for the children who love it, a craft table for the ones who need a breather, and a team you can talk to before you book anything.

  • Enhanced DBS for every coach, plus two references and ID checks.
  • First aid trained lead coaches, covered by Public Liability Insurance.
  • A written safeguarding policy with a named lead and deputy, reviewed January 2026.

Questions parents actually ask

What ages do you take?

3 to 15. Groups are split by age so the youngest are not swept along by the oldest.

What should they bring?

A packed lunch, a drink bottle, suncream or a coat depending on the weather, and trainers they can run in. Nothing else.

My child does not really like sport. Is it still for them?

Yes. There is a craft table running all day alongside the sport, and Coach Melanie is an arts and crafts specialist with 20+ years in education. Plenty of children spend half the day there and have a brilliant time.
